Delete your Ohanaki account

You can delete your Ohanaki account, or only some of your data, at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted and what is kept.

Delete your account in the app

Open Ohanaki, tap your profile picture in the bottom bar to open Account, then choose Delete account and type DELETE to confirm.

If one of your vaults is still on a paid plan, cancel that subscription first in App Store or Google Play subscriptions, or the store keeps charging you.

Delete your account on the web

Sign in at ohanaki.com, open Account and choose Delete account.

If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the address on the account and we will delete it for you within 30 days.

Everything is deleted with it

When you delete your account, all of your information is deleted with it: your profile (name, email, date of birth, gender, profile photo), posts, comments, messages, your Hearts & Dating pen name and letters, and every vault only you use, with all the photos, videos and recordings in it.

Vaults you share with other people pass to them, and they are told the date the photos will be deleted unless someone renews.

Leftover technical copies, in backups and crash reports, expire on their own within 90 days.

Delete some of your data and keep your account

Photos, videos and recordings: delete them in the Library. They stay in the bin for 9 days and are then gone for good, or empty the bin to remove them straight away.

Posts: open the menu on your own post and choose Delete post.

Hearts & Dating letters and comments: open the menu on them and choose Delete.

For anything else, such as messages, email [email protected] and we will delete it within 30 days.
